In recent days I have begun to see events of the world around in the context of the scriptures: the constant stream of natural disasters, the wars, the tangled immorality, and the horrific things people do to one another.
These are signs of a nation, and a world which is ripening in wickedness. The Kingdom of Heaven is nigh at hand, yeah even at the doors! When Jesus first uttered these words it was the destruction of Jerusalem, not the end of the world, which was nigh at hand, but for those who heard and ignored his words, the result was the same. I don't know if the Second Coming of our Lord is close, but I feel compelled to warn all who will listen: Whether it be by His hand, or by the Assyrians, or by the Romans, the time of threshing is coming. It is not to late to repent and return to the shelter of a loving God, but for many it soon will be.

I, Chemish
was born to loving parents who honored God, and taught me from a young age to keep his commandments. As I grew to adulthood, I was perhaps too absorbed in my own goals and struggles to look at the state of the world around me.

Now a father myself, I am trying to rear my own children in the same way I was reared. I have spent a lot of time on my knees begging forgiveness for my sins, and pleading for help in the most important task of nurturing and teaching my children.

I begin so see the world through the lens of the scriptures, and worried at what I see, I feel the need to share my newfound spiritual insights with my children, and with any who are searching, as I was searching, for a meaningful relationship with God.

So it is, that I came to create this blog to express the thoughts of my soul. I will comment on news only as it pertains to the gospel. I will try to steer clear of politics insofar as this is possible. I am a Mormon, but I will try to keep my comments free of church specific jargon, and will try to encourage an environment where any person of any Faith who would like to contribute feels comfortable leaving remarks.
